Simulation-supported analysis using SIMBA#Water are conducted on three different municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) for virtual testing of various design and optimizing measures. One relevant question relates to the implications of increased maximum rain inflow to one municipal WWTP (120.000 PE) along with various case scenarios. Other questions focus on tailor-made control strategies (QRZ control, O2 setpoint control, O2 distribution control) on one municipal WWTP (48.000 PE) in operation and one newly-planned municipal WWTP (250.000 PE).
